From my first visit, Helen approached colour like a true professional: she considered skin tone, undertone, daily routine, and long‑term maintenance, then designed a plan that makes my colour look effortless every day (not just walking out of the salon). Danielle brings the same level of care to hair and nails—healthy prep, precise application, and realistic aftercare that keeps nails strong between appointments; in addition the salon has a beauty offering that includes Tropic skin care- delivered with empathy and zero hard sell. What elevates Sophisticutz in Shrewsbury is their wellness expertise. Conversations here naturally include scalp health, hair‑loss support (including supplement considerations where appropriate), and respect for wider health/public‑health factors. Advice is personalised, evidence‑aware, and delivered with kindness- never a hard sell. The team is receptive, inclusive and empathetic with clients of all ages, creating a space where teenagers, busy parents and older adults alike feel understood and supported. My own work centres on navigation, advocacy and person‑centred support. I see a clear symmetry here: Sophisticutz prioritise listening, tailoring to individual needs, and enabling confident choices. Wow a great find. My hair was in terrible condition being subject to months of home box colours sun and sea. Driving past I noticed Sophitizicuts sign from the road so I popped in without an appointment and I was immediately impressed with the willingness to give me a consultation on the spot. I made an appointment with Danielle for a fortnight later, having done patch tests in between. At he conclusion of appointment for colour correction and treatment, I left delighted with my entire experience , my hair looked and felt amazing. My stylist was Danielle, I found her to be knowledgeable, skilled in her craft, friendly and whose purpose and goal is to do a great job for her client. There is a great atmosphere in the salon due to the camaraderie amongst the staff. Danielle confirmed the salon is committed to 'continuing professional development' attending regular seminars on what is the latest in hair and beauty. I am pleased to have stumbled onto this salon, and can definitely recommend based on my experiences .

Fabulous facial with Iona. My skin feels and looks so moisturised and glowing. It was a relaxing experience too in a calming environment, wasn’t expecting the lovely hand and arm massage that was part of the treatment.

Had a really lovely experience coming to the salon today for the first time. Pippa was really lovely, made me feel very relaxed and really helped advise and the outcome I absolutely love is so much better than I even hoped for. Very greatful and will definitely be back. Stacey

I walked into Sofisticutz to be greeted by Helen with a smile. My hair was neither here nor there, i felt very old! After consultation, we decided what was going to happen. I decided I needed to get rid of some hair as i have thick hair. A new hair style was on the cards ! A hair wash and relaxing head massage later. The scissors came out, products for my hair and off Helen went, snip snip. Blow dried my hair with finesse and then WOW. Helen you made an old lady very happy. I love the new cut, you have taken 10 years of me. It’s amazing how you feel when your hair is cut and shaped and finished to perfection. Thank you Helen. X
